What we're about

Are you an adult with an Asperger/Autism profile (diagnosed or not) who wants to meet other adults in our community? If so, please join our group!

Though we originally intended to just offer in person events in the Greater Boston area and still plan to do so at some point (see below), we are currently offering Virtual Events until it is safe to resume. You are welcome to join the group no matter where you live.

*Please be aware that in order to attend an event, you need to RSVP for it after you join the meetup group*

FOR MEMBERS IN THE BOSTON AREA:

Feel free to join our Outdoors Enthusiasts Club (https://www.meetup.com/meetup-group-aane-outdoorenthusiasts/)!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
About once a month, we will host a meetup to attend a local (non-AANE) event. This might include a talk or performance at a library or bookstore, a comedy show or an evening at a board game cafe. We intend to initially pick events that are free to attend, though in the future we may add paid ticketed events as well. If there's interest, we may offer the same events on a regular basis, giving you the chance to see the same faces and make connections more easily.
All events will be attended by an AANE Host who will be the point of contact at the event.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The Asperger/Autism Network (AANE) helps people with Asperger's (https://www.aane.org/what-is-an-asperger-profile/) or similar autism spectrum (https://www.aane.org/glossary/#AutismSpectrumDisorder)and neurodiverse profiles build meaningful, connected lives. We provide individuals, families, and professionals with information, education, community, support, and advocacy — all in an inclusive atmosphere of validation and respect.
