**On this "first Wednesday", we are at the JFrog office in Sunnyvale.**
This talk will introduce the basic tools and a complete DevOps workflow for C and C++ languages. Topics covered will include: Why and how to manage C/C++ software as binary packages in the DevOps lifecycle, using automatic tests, installing testing frameworks from Conan packages, and injecting and using them to test your packages while building them, and how to create reproducible and automatic build environments. Finally, we will discuss the Jenkins integration and Artifactory plugin support for Conan package manager.
Mark Galpin is currently living the dream at JFrog, helping the world release its software faster. Working on Conan he returns to his earlier roots as a developer and specifically works on tools to help out the C/C++ community. He also has a passion for making tools of all sorts interoperate better, which has been a theme throughout his career. As a speaker he typically talks about CI/CD; DevOps processes and adoption; issues around developing, maintaining and storing Docker containers; and C/C++ package management and DevOps.
Doors open at 6:00; the presentation will start at 6:30.
