Mountain View Downtowners 20-30s
Mountain View, CA
New to Mountain View? Been here awhile but still want to meet people?
All are welcome, but closer proximity tends to make for better connections so this will be a group for those who want to hangout downtown MV and expand social circles.
This is a casual, weekly group to hangout, meet new people, and find some fun. Break off for awhile and rejoin. This is a no obligation / no pressure to stay longer than you want to type group.
For each week… a day, time, location and topic will be posted. Sounds good? See you there.
Laps, dinner & drinks
Relax & games near city hall
Picnic at the park
Tech side projects mixer
Crafts and drafts (beer that is)
BTW: Of course it’s awkward to meet new people and not all connections will make for perfect friends but let’s just see how it goes.
Also in order to get more diverse crowds I’ll try using max attendees and add folks via waitlists. We shall see how that works out.
1st priority - goes to getting an even number of men to women. (Send me a message if you want to clarify what you identify as.)
2nd priority - goes to regular/ repeat attendees
3rd priority - goes to those who live in Mountain View.
* I’ll try to balance the waitlists accordingly but it’s a tricky task so apologies if you are waitlisted too often. (Send me a message if this occurs too much)

Salt and Pepper -Palo Alto Couples Aged 50+
Palo Alto, CA
Salt and Pepper is a group of welcoming, interested adults, aged 50 plus, looking to make friends and enjoy activities with other couples. Gatherings include a mix of new and familiar faces, with an opportunity to make long lasting friends. Our diverse group appreciates all walks of life, celebrating our differences while exploring common interests. We support each other and encourage healthy life transitions.
Membership in this group is about getting to know other couples and so we ask that members attend, as a couple, at least one activity each month. To maintain the dynamics of the group attendance without partner or bringing extra friends should be the exception. (Our midweek hikes are an exception and "singles" welcome)
Past events include hikes, museums, restaurants, theatre, music, Improv shows, garden tours, ranger talks, high teas, potlucks, art festivals, dancing, beachwalks, wine tastings, boardgame night, and more. We are currently scheduling events outdoors to keep risk of illness lower. There are a number of events scheduled so jump right in and RSVP for something soon!
Let's keep this safe for everyone. Please attend events if you have been vaccinated and not been with someone symptomatic or exposed to COVID. Be prepared to show proof of vaccination.
Vintage Women of the South Bay
San Jose, CA
This is an amazing group of women that has been evolving and growing since 2009. Some of us are empty nesters and are asking ourselves, “Now what?” Some of us are between jobs or newly retired and are wondering what to do with our free time. Some of us are new to the area and want to grow our circle of friends. And some of us just want to leave the menfolk at home and enjoy a girls’ day out.
For me, most of my friends and family had moved away. Someone mentioned meet up and this is the first group I found, and so happy I did. I met women my own age right in my own backyard that I may never have met on my own. Life is so much richer with friends and a strong sense of community.
We enjoy activities such as movies, Bunco, chat nights, plays, golf, brunches, art festivals, day trips and morning walks. And if there is something you would like to do but don’t see it here, you are welcome to host your own activity.
Join us if you like to laugh and try new things.
PLEASE NOTE: You must be female and over 50 to join. A profile photo of yourself is required when joining Vintage Women so we can recognize you at events.

UX Wizards Bay Area
San Jose, CA
This is a group for anyone interested in learning more about UX. I started this group to meet other UX enthusiasts in my area, and because I felt that most of the UX meetups I'd been attending were in San Francisco, and I was meeting more UX designers from San Jose who had also made the journey north!
Things I'm hoping to accomplish by starting this group:
- Opportunity for peer review (ie: bring your portfolios or work and we'll take time giving you honest feedback)
- Opportunity for mentorship (maybe you are a mentor! maybe you are a mentee!)
- Place where you can bounce ideas around
- Place for potentially finding employers/talent

In general, we host events mostly in the late morning, afternoon and evenings, so you can get your beauty sleep and get your work done early, giving you options to fit your personal schedule.

Sunnyvale, SC, MV, Parents (Expecting Moms-Kindergarteners)
Mountain View, CA
Hey! We would like to welcome Moms, expecting parents, dads and caregivers! This group is created for parents who are going through similar stages in this new adventure who can offer support (baby development, emotional, advice, etc.) friendships (for you and your little one) and give you the opportunity to continue to have a social life. Many events held by the creator will be in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, Mt. View, and Palo Alto. However you can host events in any surrounding areas!
We want to help you and your baby grow as individuals and a family. We like to include all types of meet ups that benefit ourselves and our babies! Like:
1. Getting Outside! (Hiking, Going to the park, play dates, etc.)
- Getting outdoors are great for babies and children who use their senses to understand the world around them. Without over stimulating our babies, being outside offers new experiences to sight, sound, feeling, taste, smell, texture, and movement. Which are sensory inputs that encourages a baby’s brain to form connections, develop and grow.
- Staying active while pregnant is very important! It gives you more energy, promote healthy weight gain, and makes it easier for you during labor, delivery, and recovery.
2. Crafting!
- DIY projects that help with the development of your baby, capture memories (they will go by quick!), crafts for your nursery and any other suggestions!
3. Coffee, Brunch, Mom’s Night Outs!
-Your life will seem like it’s all about the baby, this is your chance to get out of the house and form friendships with ladies going through the same thing you are! (Babies are always welcome to these social outings!)
Members are encouraged to host events and make suggestions!
