Event Details

Our panel of speakers will discuss their personal experiences implementing DevOps practices within their organizations.

You'll learn about how Google's Site Reliability Engineering team's influenced corporate-wide DevOps behavior and how leadership skills, experience and executive sponsorship impacted IBM's DevOps transformation. You'll also learn how DevOps practices have been implemented in by a corporate IT department to greatly improve delivery times and in a manner that is ITIL compliant.

You'll gain a better understanding of how DevOps practices can help your organization and an appreciation of the organizational and cultural impact that you need in order to implement such practices.

Speaker Bios

Sanjay Maru currently leads the Enterprise Architecture group at St. Joseph Health, responsible for technology transformation and strategy. He has spoken on St. Joseph Health's DevOps journey at the HIMSS 2017 and PuppetConf 2016 conferences. Sanjay is an IT Leader with 20+ years of experience in successfully delivering solutions aligned to business strategy and goals. Prior to St. Joseph Health, he worked at Nationwide, filling various roles from leading development teams and enterprise architects to establishing and implementing enterprise technology strategy.

Steve Mason is currently a Program Director at IBM where his responsibilities include DevOps for IBM’s Enterprise Content Management SaaS and Box Relay product offerings. He has spoken on DevOps at IBM’s World of Watson 2016 conference. Steve has nearly 30 years of experience managing and developing Enterprise Content Management and Business Process Management software at IBM and FileNet Corporation. Steve earned his B.S. in Computer Science from California State Polytechnic University Pomona.

Marc Tamsky is currently VP, Systems Reliability Engineering at Veritone, Inc. where his responsibilities include implementing DevOps practices. Marc has been building and operating global-scale systems for over 15 years. He worked five years at Google as a Site Reliability Engineer. As part of the SRE team, Marc was responsible for the care and feeding of several Ads-related systems, including malware prevention. Marc attended the College of Creative Studies at University of California, Santa Barbara.
