About us
Welcome to the Narragansett Chapter Young Members 20s/30s Meetup! This Meetup is sponsored by the Narragansett Chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club (Joining this Meetup Group does not automatically make you an AMC member).
Our trip leaders host local hikes, bike rides, and social events aimed at outdoorsy 20-40ish years old. We offer activities throughout RI and surrounding areas both after work and on the weekends. Joining a YM activity is a great way to make new friends and explore the area's natural beauty.
The purpose of our Meetup is to introduce others to the wonderful outdoor opportunities offered by the AMC Narragansett Chapter Young Members 20s/30s. As a Meetup member, you have no obligation to join the AMC.But, if you enjoy participating in our events, we hope you will consider joining the AMC (https://www.outdoors.org/join-today?chapter=NA&campaign=70150000001EMs5AAG).
Please, only RSVP if you plan on attending the event. For the consideration of our leaders, we ask that you contact us if you have RSVP'ed and can no longer attend.
Our events are led by highly qualified, trained AMC volunteers who are always concerned about safety. They take every precaution to assure participant risk is minimized and fun is maximized.

Sometimes, all you need is a fork and the curiosity to discover what’s nearby. Join us for a culinary experience that goes beyond the plate. At S.E.A.L., we celebrate local flavors, the stories shared around the table, and the magic of connecting with genuine people in unexpected places. Each gathering is different. The menu changes, the location shifts, but the spirit stays the same: explore, savor, and live every adventure locally.
This time, we’re trading the forest path for fork and plate, and meeting at a local culinary gem in Rhode Island.
This month’s location:
Al Forno Restaurant brings the soul of Italian cuisine to life with a warm, rustic elegance that has defined Providence’s dining scene for decades. Its menu blends time-honored Italian traditions with inventive techniques, creating dishes that feel both comforting and refined — bold in flavor, simple in presentation, and deeply satisfying. Signature dishes like their legendary grilled pizza, handmade pastas, wood-fired meats, and seasonal vegetable plates highlight high-quality ingredients, careful craftsmanship, and a deep respect for Italian culinary roots. Thoughtful vegetarian options and house-made desserts add balance and variety to the experience. To complete the atmosphere, Al Forno offers an intimate, inviting dining room paired with attentive service, making it an ideal choice for special occasions, or relaxed evenings enjoying exceptional Italian food in the heart of Providence.
🥂 What to Expect: • A different restaurant every month — no repeats for at least 6 months • Small group vibes (max 10 attendees) • Everyone pays the ir own way • Open conversations, shared ideas, and trip inspiration Whether you're a foodie, a hiker, or simply someone who craves genuine connection — this is your space.

Cobblestone streets open toward the water, and the air carries salt, stories, and quiet elegance. Each step follows the curve of Newport—unhurried, coastal, timeless. This walk begins in the heart of Old Town Newport , weaving through historic streets before opening up toward the iconic mansions and ocean views beyond. The path invites you to slow down, to notice the details: sunlight on stone façades, waves brushing the shore, and the soft contrast between old-world charm and open coastal space.
The Waves marks our point of return —a natural pause to breathe, regroup, and take in the scenery before retracing our steps back through the city. The walk flows like the tide: out, then back, steady and intentional. As the journey ends, the experience continues with an optional lunch at a nearby restaurant in the same area , a perfect way to unwind, share conversation, and close the loop together. This isn’t just a walk—it’s a coastal rhythm, a shared moment, and an invitation to move with intention.
