APICS NoCo's Stay Connected Event on TBD Tour: Honeybee Robotics 1860 Lefthand Cir - #C Longmont, CO 80501 Stay for our Networking Happy Hour! $25 for public $10 for students JUST $25 INCLUDES NETWORKING, APPETIZERS, AND DRINKS! Our Stay Connected events happen once a month and is a chance for supply chain professionals to visit other facilities and learn from their methods. We get to meet leadership in these companies and then end with a networking happy hour. Join us for the education as well as the fun! Honeybee was founded in 1983 by Steve Gorevan and Chris Chapman (pictured left) as a systems integrator using off-the-shelf robots. Our first offices were above a piano shop on the Lower East Side of New York City. Our early work included robotic arms, robot end-effectors, and smart task-oriented electromechanical systems for companies including IBM, Allied Signal, The Salk Institute, Merck, 3M, and Con Edison. We quickly gained a reputation for our innovative design skills and creative problem solving. Honeybee received its first NASA contract in 1986. Since then, we have continually built our capabilities to design and develop innovative, reliable systems for space. Our steady, consistent work supporting planetary research has led to us supplying NASA with critical technologies for its last three Mars missions. Today, Honeybee is developing a range of advanced mechanisms and robotic technologies for aerospace, planetary exploration, medical devices, energy, mining, infrastructure and more. We are still based in New York, in the New Lab facility at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. In this collaborative facility for design and manufacturing companies, we have on-site access to a highly capable machine shop, modern 3D printers of all shapes and sizes, and a world-class community of innovative neighbors. With our other facilities in mind — we opened our Longmont, CO and Pasadena, CA offices in 2008 and 2010, respectively — we can assemble products in a Class-100 clean environment, and test them in chambers simulating the toughest environments, while attracting the finest engineering talent and remaining close to our customers in major innovation hubs. 5 PM: Honeybee Robotics 6 PM - 7 PM: Networking Location: TBD Join friends and community partners of APICS NoCo at this great event!
