Hello all and welcome! This group meets every third Thursday of the month from 5:30-8:30pm at the Latham Panera Bread. All levels of sign and hearing are welcome. We would like this group to be used to help others find more opportunities to learn about deaf culture and learn ASL, so please feel free to share any ASL & deaf events in the area! If you are on facebook, feel free to join the group called "ASL & Deaf Events in the Upper Hudson/Capital District area".
ASL Practice Time: 6 - 9pm All levels of American Sign Language welcome with a focus on students. Join Barb and Robert for an evening of signed conversation at the Saratoga Barnes & Noble cafe. Building on campus at FMCC: All levels/ages are welcome! No Voices Please :) Come out to join this large, welcoming crowd of all ages and abilities - on the first Friday of each month, year round. Fulton Montgomery Community College ASL 1 and 2 students will be there to meet & greet ASL enthusiasts from our local Deaf, student and hearing communities to practice their newly acquired ASL skills. Families welcome! Enjoy a relaxed evening of signed conversation and yummy food for purchase at Mondos. These FMCC chats are very well attended with 30-60 people signing up for each event on the Facebook site. So don't let low RSVP attendance here on ASL of the Capital Region dissuade you from joining in since there will be lots of people to sign and have fun with! See you there!
