AWS Amplify Workshop

We are organizing the first ever AWS User Group Belgrade workshop.

Within this whole-day workshop we are going to demonstrate and discuss AWS Amplify. We will be building a React application, but previous knowledge of React is not strictly required as all the code snippets will be provided. The main goal of the workshop is to demonstrate what Amplify can do for you, how easy it can be and discus modern trends in Web applications development that are set by the likes of Amplify.

Workshop will consist of two parts - first being a standard, hands-on workshop, while during the second part we will have the opportunity to have AWS developer advocate Sébastien Stormacq (@sebsto) join us via teleconferencing session and help answer all the questions that we might have as well as join the discussion about AWS Amplify, use-cases and the future it leads to.

Agenda

• 9:00-14:00 Hands on workshop - bring your laptops as we are going to create a small application using AWS Amplify
• We are going to demonstrate how easy it is to set up:
• Authentication
• GraphQL API with AWS AppSync
• Adding Authorization to the GraphQL API
• Serverless Functions
• REST API with a Lambda Function
• Adding Storage with Amazon S3
• Analytics
• Multiple Environments
• Deploying via the Amplify Console
• Removing / Deleting Services
• During this session there is going to be a short coffee break
• 14:00-14:30 Lunch
• 14:30-16:00 Questions and Answers session with Sébastien Stormacq (@sebsto)
• Opportunity to chat and discuss with AWS expert
• Discussion is going to provide a deeper insight into AWS Amplify
