This month we are joined by Paulo Almeida.

Paulo is a HPC & AI Architect at National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA). He gets to turn interesting research ideas into optimised software to run on NZ's supercomputers :) Outside of the business hours, he is writing a MOS 6502 emulator to kill time while it's still winter in New Zealand. He started his career as a software developer but also wore many different hats such as Solutions Architect at AWS and R&D Architect, DevOps Engineer and the list goes on. He has a keen interest in reading source code of many open source projects, studying their data structures and train of thought as a hobby. Recently, he wrote his own operating system just for fun and he's currently working on a couple of drivers in the Linux Kernel. When he is not doing any of that, he writes technical deep dives for his blog: https://deepdives.medium.com/
