What we’re about
The Auckland Amazon Web Services Community is a group dedicated to cloud services provided by Amazon. Because we are specific to Amazon Web Services (AWS), we can go deep into some of the technical services provided by AWS and get some really great insights into how their services work.
This group is for beginner's, pro's and everything in between we will be tackling basic concepts, technical breakdowns and user stories.
If you want to put your application in the cloud and have already chosen AWS, or if you already have applications in the AWS cloud, then this is a great group to get helpful insights and advice from other group members. Also we would love to invite you to speak if you're interested in sharing some of your experiences.
The Auckland AWS Community is all about AWS, so if you want to fast track your network and skills with AWS then this is the group for you.

I started working with the cloud when Amazon released their S3 service in 2006 and since they opened the Sydney region in 2012 I dedicated my career to helping NZ businesses of all sizes to take advantage of the AWS flexibility and cost efficiency.I'm proud to be one of the first AWS Certified Solution Architects - Professional level certified in New Zealand, gaining my certificate in early 2015.
Shane Davis
I have a broad technical understanding of data driven solutions based on 30+ years of hands-on design and development of web based services, products and applications.I have 20+ years experience as a senior technical leader, driving excellence through agile delivery methodologies; delivering successful projects up to 70% more effectively than others on similar projects.
I have 15+ years experience working with Enterprise and Govt. in Australia & NZ. Delivering ISM compliant sites, leading the design and implementation of solutions through the IRAP certification process.
