We are delighted to be hosting a presentation and conversation with Sara Thacher (http://thachr.com/) this September.

Sara is a transmedia producer and experience designer. Her work includes The Jejune Institute (http://thachr.com/the-jejune-institute/) during her time at Nonchalance, A Map of the Floating City (http://thachr.com/a-map-of-the-floating-city/), a web-based multimedia experience promoting a Thomas Dolby album launch, and FutureCoast (http://futurecoast.org/), a collective storytelling experiment designed with fellow ADG presenter Ken Eklund (http://writerguy.com) about the our watery future.

Sara is currently a Creative Lead at Walt Disney Imagineering R&D, but can't discuss her Disney work at this talk.
What Sara WILL be discussing: "shaggy dog stories and immersive experiences – they’re all about delivery. They require a fine sense of audience expectations and how to playfully subvert them. But it can be a fine line between a delightful shift in perspective and pulling the rug out. Working constructively around that line is the experience designer’s dilemma."
