    It is time for another AU weekend walk!

    We will walk from MacRitchie Reservoir to Bukit Timah Hill summit. And this is literally all we are going to do. Walk. And observe. Keep stress to a minimum. Just bring some snacks and water and leave your plan behind. Don’t worry. The benefits are built-in. We will get our hearts pumping. And take in the natural sights, sounds, breeze and smell. And the company of like-minded friends.

    ** Please note that this is will be a walk on multiple terrains including nature trails and tarmac

    ** The estimated walking distance is 12km.

    Items to bring:
    Comfortable hiking attire and trail shoes
    Insect repellent

    Hat / Cap / Sunblock

    Please read this
    #1 - This is a number-controlled event due to the Covid-19 situation. Please only come if you are on the attending list.

    #2 - Please turn up 10 minutes before to register and take attendance. We will move out at 0800hrs sharp. We are not able to wait for late-comers.

    #3 - As this is a limited number event, please check your calendar and make sure you can come before you RSVP. Do not change your attendance at the last minute and deny someone else who genuinely wishes to come.

    #4 - We will practise social distancing between groups during the walk.

    Nature lovers assemble! Get in touch with nature in Jeju Island. When it comes to nature, Jeju Island has it all.

    The island offers pristine beaches, waterfalls, oreums (volcanic cones), lava tube caves, and many more awe-inspiring natural wonders that are absolutely bucket list-worthy.

    Some of the places we will visit:

    + Hallim Park: cherry blossom trees. The beautiful pink and white flowers upon the trees; saying hi to you, gracing you with its beauty.

    + Hallasan Mountain: climb Korea’s highest mountain.

    + Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak): a 182m volcanic cone famous for spectacular sunrises.

    + Manjang Caves (Manjanggul): the longest lava tube in Jeju with the largest recorded lava column in the world inside the cave.

    + Jusangjeolli Cliffs: unique volcanic rock formations that look like a piece of art that has been sculpted delicately with a sharp tool.

    + Jeongbang Falls: the only waterfall in Asia that falls directly into the ocean.

    + Cheonjeyeon Waterfall: also known as the Pond of God..

    + Jeju Olle-gil: a series of walking trails which leads through forests, volcanic cones, and many other best-kept secrets of the island. We will do three of the best trails.

    We are going to walk along the coastal around the Vigo estuary. We will be staying in the beautiful coastal cities of Baiona and Vigo before re-joining the traditional Camino Portuguese to Santiago de Compostela.

    This region is known for its seafood, its oysters and scallops. Wash it down with the local Albarino wine a true gastronomic delight.

    136km in 6 days of walking
