Agile Denver Kanban SIG
Details
Agile Denver Kanban SIG: is a forum for those interested in learning with others about applying lean and agile principles along with pull/kanban system concepts to assist with catalyzing and effectively managing change to improve their business workflow processes, and to predictably forecast and answer the question “When will it be done?” It is a special interest group (SIG) of the Agile Denver group, and is also loosely associated with the global Lean & Kanban University and Limited WIP Society.
Hi All,
The Agile Denver Kanban SIG March meetup will be on 3/8 Thu. from 6:00-8:00 pm. This month Michael Roy has graciously offered to host us at Oracle's DTC campus (more location and sign-in info below).
We continue with alternating each month between an “advance topic” led by senior practitioners, and an “open mic/any-level topic” suggested by attendees. This month is an “advance topic." Our host, Michael Roy, has suggested the following: "How to approach estimating project delivery using Kanban. Scrum has sprints, which can form the basis for estimates. Kanban has a continuous flow of work, so do tasks/issues form the basis for estimates?" Sounds like a worthy topic to me :)
After the deep dive we’ll continue using a “lean coffee” format for the 2nd hour of our meeting to do some quicker hits in a just-in-time manner on a number of other topics of interest to those attending. We look forward to the sharing from our many regular attendees, and always enjoy welcoming “first-timers” to our SIG.
Take care,
Frank

Additional Location Info:
7700 Technology Way, Building 3 Denver, CO 80237
Parking: There is a parking lot west of the building. There is also a parking structure close to the building, owned by Oracle, but access to it is not gaureenteed at this time (plan on the west lot).
Sign in: There is a badge reader on the door, so Michael or an associate of his will have to let us in as we arrive (we'll need folks to be on-time), and they'll escort us to the coference room near the lobby. While there is a guard station, it is not manned the whole time. A list of attendees will need to be provided to Michael prior to the meetup (3/7 Wed). Please help us by updating your RSVP as soon as you know you not be able to attend.
