Conversation Leader: John O’Duinn (USDS, Mozilla) on Bringing DevOps Technology and Culture to Government

John O'Duinn is a government DevOps pioneer, having most recently served with the U.S. Digital Service at the White House under President BarackObama.

At USDS, John played an integral role in transforming the culture, and helped build the DevOps pipeline behind several Veterans Administration digital initiatives, including vets.gov.

At Mozilla, John grew a 18-person team, working in 14 cities, on infrastructure for Mozilla's globally distributed open source community, increasing the average number of developer checkins from about 15 to >400 per day. He is writing a book, Distributed: Leading Global Teams (https://www.amazon.com/Distributed-Leading-Global-ODuinn-2016-03-25/dp/B01HC9RO82/), on his management experiences.

Join John and Agile Government Sacramento in a discussion on how government can leverage DevOps to bring more flexible, iterative user-focused services to the citizens they serve.
