We are a very active local group dedicated to conservation, advocacy, recreation, education and stewardship of New York's wilderness areas. Moreau Lake State Park – Lake Bonita and West Palmertown Ridge

This hike will explore the western part of Moreau Lake State Park. We will travel along trails that overlook the Hudson River and then cross the Palmertown Ridge. We will continue around Lake Ann and then Lake Bonita. Finally we will proceed along the waterfall trail and back to our cars on Spier Falls Road.
This hike is about 8.5 miles with roughly 2200 ft elevation gain. This is not a hike for for beginners due to some steep terrain and rocky sections. Trails will likely be muddy in places. Also the pace will be moderate to fast.
