About the Alchemical Dreamers' Guild:
Are you interested in collaborating with other dreamworkers? The mission of the Alchemical Dreamers’ Guild (ADG) is to organize the Southeastern regional network of dreamworkers and provide opportunities for high quality dreamwork training and practice, including coordinating a guild of masterful dreamworkers who collaborate regionally on larger dreamwork projects. Come join us!
Our events and private sessions do not involve psychotherapy or any other form of advice. Instead, the intent of our events and courses is educational, spiritual, and motivational. Please be aware that dreamwork and coaching can be emotionally intense for some people–check with your doctor or therapist before participating.
Our groups, seminars, and trainings include a broad array of approaches, including lucid dreaming, dream interpretation, gestalt play acting, somatic dreamwork, shamanic visioning, authentic relating, archetypal dreamwork, dream art, sleep coaching and more. We are also open to collaborations, if you are an avid dreamer with facilitation skills!
Our community is organized as part of Navigate Change, LLC, based out of Raleigh-Durham, NC. We seek to abide by the Ethics Guidelines of the International Association for the Study of Dreams, of which we are a member. May our events be in service of the wellbeing of the community.
By participating in our Meetups and courses, you agree to:
a) Honor Self: Know your needs and limits, and take proactive steps to ensure your own emotional, physical and spiritual well-being. If you would like to stop something that is happening (for example, the dream work is moving in a direction you don't want), it is your responsibility to ensure this happens.
b) Honor Other: Extend empathy and care toward one another. Set clear boundaries. And help us create a community space that feels good. If something happens in a session that you don't like, we invite you to bring this up in a compassionate way so that all involved may learn and continue to build the community. These practices are rare, and we hope you will help us continue making them publicly available.
c) Maintain Anonymity: Dreams are highly personal! Tell others about your experiences in a way that ensures the anonymity of other group members.

Join Alchemical Dreamers’ Guild founder Benji Whitehurst and a circle of avid dreamers and authentic relaters for three days of alchemical dreamwork, Relational Flow™, and embodied ritual in a private home in Durham, NC.
Expect depth, belonging, and space for integration. With a cap of 10 participants, we’ll turn the year’s dreams and patterns into insight, clear what’s ready to release, and set intentions you can live come January. Fireplace. Shared organic meals. Real connection. Grounding so the work lands.
Alchemical Preparation For the New Year:
You'll honor your dreams from the past year, reviewing dream journals, visionary experiences, and the wisdom of ongoing life obstacles, to acknowledge any repeated themes or powerful dreams that came. May we complete these dreams and learnings in service of a New Year bringing fresh dreams and visions.
You will experience:
- Alchemical Dreamwork
Guided group circles, solo journal review, and creative integrations (movement, drawing, voice) to surface themes, enact key dream moments, and harvest meaning.
You’ll leave with*:* completed arcs, clarified patterns, and a personal map for 2026.
- Relational Flow™
A relational meditation that links inner symbols with lived connection: voice what’s true, receive reflection, and let your deepest self step into new symbols and metaphors.
By naming feelings, desires, and boundaries with clean language, you’ll see how inner metaphors play out between us—and can be reauthored in real time.
You’ll leave with: A fresh sense of Self and a felt template for bringing vision into relationship—so your Purpose has a place to land.
- Intention-Setting for 2026
A closing ceremony paired with a simple 30-day morning practice and an optional accountability buddy to carry momentum into January.
You’ll leave with: Connection to your Purpose, structure for momentum, and clarity that turn intention into daily action.
Schedule:
10am - 6pm schedule (except for last day which ends ~8pm) to support dreaming and integration.

I have facilitated over 1,500 hours of group workshops over the past 13 years. In this particular workshop, I'm planning:
Trauma-Aware Facilitation - I know how sensitive many of us are. Expect a lovingly held space with grounding practices, healthy organic food with options to avoid food sensitivities, and people who are advanced in their personal development - this is by invitation and I require a welcome call with anyone new to curate a group that can go deep together.
Everyone Will Work Multiple Dreams - Expect a mixture of dreamwork practices. Our Alchemical Dreamwork practice is a combination of Authentic Relating, Relational Flow™, Gestalt Dreamwork, and Projective Dreamwork. Expect a range of structures - from small group focus on your dream, to solo dreamwork using creative materials or journaling. The overall intent is to get a deep, felt sense of what your dreams point to - and insight on what wants to be born in your life in the coming year.
Is It Just Dreamwork? Is it Dream Interpretation? - No. My retreats are more than dreamwork. I blend practices from Authentic Relating, restorying, energy healing, intuitive coaching, and visioning practices. Together, these create a space where people can experience life-changing insights, release what no longer serves, and come out connected deeply to themselves and community. For those who are unfamiliar, Authentic Relating practices are relational meditations that help explore what is in our connections with each other, often to alchemical effect in our personal lives.
Closing Ceremony on December 30 - We will engage in a guided meditation and fire ceremony to bring online our visionary capacities for the New Year and to welcome in higher guidance, to incubate meaningful dreams and guiding visions for the coming months. May we enter the New Year free of the past year's baggage and with clarity about the most joyful path forward in our lives!
Note: We will set you up to engage in solo dream visioning on the 31st in the comfort of your own home so you are more likely to remember your dreams - or free to partake in New Years' activities of your choice.
Location:
We will meet in a private home in a pleasant neighborhood in Durham with plenty of parking. We will light the fireplace (or outdoor fire pit if weather is nice) at least once, if the group is interested. Decorated for the end-of-year holidays. Your host for this event is dream alchemist Benjamin Whitehurst, MA, MBA, founder of the Durham-based Alchemical Dreamers’ Guild (DreamCircling.Com). Benjamin holds a Masters of Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University along with certification in Integral Circling from the Integral Center in Boulder, Colorado. Benjamin studied dreamwork with Rev. Jeremy Taylor, and has been teaching and leading dreamwork for 9 years. An experienced guide, Benjamin has been dream journaling since high school, having explored thousands of his own dreams--including lucid dreams, precognitive dreams, out-of-body experiences, and sleep paralysis experiences, over a period of 20 years.

It was both a means of staying connected, and a means of processing & gaining insights about what was happening. May this event be in service of the well-being of our community.
