2013.1019 Picnic/stroll at Oak Glen #1

This will be our first adventure up here this fall!

We are combining with other Meetup groups.

Come up and join us for an early lunch picnic on the grassy area next to the parking lot at Los Rios Rancho fruit stand in Oak Glen.

BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH/DRINK or you can buy something from this place, although prices and possible standing in line might not be as fun. :)

There are a few picnic tables on the grassy area, but I won't be able to hold them all so bring a blanket to put on the ground to sit on.

THERE WILL BE OTHER FAMILIES EATING ON THE GRASSY AREA. Ask for the Meetup group and try the SouthWest corner area first :)

If you are not familiar with where this particular place is, it is past both the lower and the upper villages of Oak Glen - approximately 1.3 miles further on Oak Glen Rd past the upper village.

Definitely use the google maps if you have not been here before. Many exit freeway 10 in the city of Yucaipa and wind their way up; another way is to exit freeway 10 in the city of Beaumont at Beaumont Ave, turn NORTH onto it, and follow it up for approx. 9 miles to Los Rios. (Beaumont Ave becomes Oak Glen Rd.)

After we eat, we'll stroll this fruit farm, possibly Riley's Ranch (just down the street), the old schoolhouse, and the upper village.

Parking is ALWAYS an issue as this is apple season and tourists fill the place by noon!

Do NOT expect everyone to stay together once we begin to stroll; everyone has a different pace and interest.
