Come practise your foreign language skills (Dutch, English, Spanish, French, and more!) with other internationally minded people at our Amsterdam Language Cafe!
We organise single language nights (English, Dutch, Spanish, French, etc.) that take place on Wednesdays at Koentact Dutch Language School, Elandsgracht 70. We also organise All Languages Parties that take place on Fridays in De Hallen where you can practise all languages! Check out our upcoming events. Hope to meet you soon!

Dear German Language lovers,Do you feel like meeting new people, having fun while practicing your German or helping others to practice German in a relaxed and cosy environment?
If so, we’d love to have you join our German workshop and language café😀
Programme:
Please start arriving from 19:15 onwards at Koentact Dutch Language School. We'll run the first German workshop between 19:30 to 20:30. Then we'll have a 15 minute break to chat and have a drink with your new German speaking friends. At 20:45, we’ll continue on with the second workshop until 21:30.Level:
From A1+ onwards (including native german speakers)This event is not for complete beginners but for beginners+, intermediate, and advanced speakers since we’ll be focusing on having conversations in German. German native speakers are also more than welcome to help practice German with non natives (and will even get a free drink for their help)!

Our event is completely free, however, we really like to support disadvantaged children with their studies at school. Niveau:
Ab A1+ (auch Muttersprachler)Diese Veranstaltung richtet sich nicht an absolute Anfänger, sondern an "Anfänger+", Leute auf mittlerem Niveau und Fortgeschrittene, da wir uns auf Gespräche auf Deutsch konzentrieren. Auch Deutsch-Muttersprachler sind herzlich eingeladen, mit Nicht-Muttersprachlern Deutsch zu üben (und erhalten dafür sogar ein kostenloses Getränk)!

And where does this famous Dutch commercial mindset actually come from?After the great success of our first trial workshop, Koentact is launching a brand-new in-depth course: Amsterdam Roots — a cultural and historical journey through the Netherlands from year 0 until today.
Together, we will explore the roots of Dutch culture and connect Dutch history to modern Dutch behaviour, communication styles, and social values.
In this interactive course, we’ll discuss topics such as:

🇳🇱 The Dutch relationship with money and trade
🇳🇱 Resistance to authority and hierarchy
🇳🇱 Tolerance and freedom in Dutch society
🇳🇱 Amsterdam’s development through the centuries
🇳🇱 The influence of the 17th century on modern Dutch cultureThis is not a traditional history class. Expect lively discussions, intercultural reflection, group interaction, and practical insights that help you better understand Dutch people and life in the Netherlands.
The course is taught in English and is open to anyone interested in Dutch culture, history, intercultural awareness, and the Dutch mindset.
