Ryan Glover (Meteor Chef) at next Tuesday's DevShop!!

Hey Meteorites,

Happy New Year!!

We're really excited to start off the year again with a fresh look at our favorite platform.  We're putting together a calendar of terrific workshops and talks covering Meteor and related JavaScript libraries and technologies.  We'd love your feedback and input into what we should work on. Look for a poll on this subject soon.

This month, Ryan Glover visits from Chicago to help reset perspective. Ryan is a tireless advocate and friend to the JavaScript community. He is the founder and publisher of the Meteor Chef. His tutorials and articles have helped many new and experienced programmers through their journey with Meteor. We have the good fortune of his company next week, and we're looking forward to hearing him speak on what's still exciting about MeteorJS. If you haven't met him, or heard him speak, you should come see him.

We also have Harry Wolfe who will talk about Apollo from the perspective of a React but non-Meteor developer. Harry is an experienced software developer who writes and is an active open source contributor. He's sharp, and also a pretty approachable guy. Hit him up after his presentation if you'd like to talk.

We will invite more developers like Harry to our DevShop events, to help broaden our experience with other JavaScript framework and technologies, and to hear how they're using the ones in our ecosystem. And we're always glad to have Meteor enthusiasts volunteer to share.

As we did the last time, we'll open the evening up with a quick workshop for those who want to get their hands dirty with some Meteor learning.

It's been too long. We're looking forward to seeing you all!!

Alim, Adrian, Dakoda, Anders, Mirza, Jan, & Justin
