Artistic Artifacts (https://www.artisticartifacts.com) at 4750 Eisenhower Avenue in Alexandria, VA is the source for the latest “creative finds for creative minds” — no matter your medium, you'll find products, and techniques for your fiber and mixed media projects. Paid classes/workshops with talented instructors and special events are scheduled on a regular basis, and our shop is also home to the monthly meetings of Judy’s Altered Minds (JAMs), a free altered art group open to all who are interested. We’re an authorized BERNINA dealer and carry a full line of WonderFil Specialty Threads as well as a full range of fabrics and art supplies. Our Alexandria, VA store hours are Tues-Friday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sundays from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Sew Posh Santa with Dudley Shugart
Artistic Artifacts, 4750 Eisenhower Ave, Alexandria, VA, USJoin us to create the Posh Santa large wall hanging by Sew Kind of Wonderful. Dudley will teach you how to cut out the pattern pieces using the Mini Curve Ruler to cut and piece Santa, then sewing and trimming the pieces accurately. By the end of class Santa should be almost completed and ready for your holiday décor — or presented as a gorgeous handmade gift!

"My mantra has been that an artist is always only One Layer Away from magic. The 18 designs in this collection were created to offer you the tools to find your very own magic,” shares Seth. SOLD OUT: Hanging by a Thread with Seth Apter

In this one-day workshop, we’ll be combining paper and fabric to create a multi-layered wall hanging. To create this piece, we will be gel printing, collaging, mark making, stamping, and wrapping. As you add each individual element, it all comes together to create a unique mixed media assemblage that requires the viewer to become one and interact with the art.
