Artistic Artifacts (https://www.artisticartifacts.com) at 4750 Eisenhower Avenue in Alexandria, VA is the source for the latest “creative finds for creative minds” — no matter your medium, you'll find products, and techniques for your fiber and mixed media projects. Paid classes/workshops with talented instructors and special events are scheduled on a regular basis, and our shop is also home to the monthly meetings of Judy’s Altered Minds (JAMs), a free altered art group open to all who are interested. We’re an authorized BERNINA dealer and carry a full line of WonderFil Specialty Threads as well as a full range of fabrics and art supplies. Location: Upstairs classroom (access stairs only)Join artists Dee Gray and Patti Euler (of The Queen's Ink in Savage, MD) for an immersive mixed-media collage workshop where intuition leads and creativity unfolds layer by layer. Explore composition, texture, layering and distressing techniques. Your registration fee includes most of your materials: portraits by Gail Blair of PaperWhimsy, vintage ephemera, handpicked papers, word banners and phrases, lace, ribbons, fabric leaves, paper frames, gold Dresden, gold leaf, matboard and an 8 in. x 10 in. gold frame.

Make & Take ATCs for World Collage Day!

Drop in to our shop anytime from 11:00 am-3:00 pm and take a FREE creative break — we'll be celebrating World Collage Day by making Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) using collage techniques! https://artisticartifacts.com/products/world-collage-day-make-take-atcs
An ATC’s only rule is that the finished size must be 2½ in. x 3½ in. and all art techniques are accepted. To commemorate World Collage Day, we’ll be using paper of all types: tissue, colored, book text and more for you to cut and paste as you wish. All supplies are provided!
Children who are appropriately aged for a projects’ skills and to safely handle crafting tools are welcome, but MUST be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
