Ask An Atheist, Get A Coffee: Conversations on OSU Campus

Details

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED DUE TO THE POLAR VORTEX ON 1/30. We will be meeting at the same time/place the following Wednesday (2/6) instead.

There is also going to be a shift in focus for this first meeting. I'm thrilled at the number of people who want to participate, but I have not had the chance to formally sit down and meet some of you, and for some it is your first AMEN event. Because of this, I'd like our first meeting to be less about talking to students and more about talking to each other. I want to make sure that you are all comfortable with AMEN's mission and goals, and don't have any questions before sending you out to represent the group (that's a tall order, even for me!) It will also give you an opportunity to ask any questions about the PDF guide you received (I've attached another copy here, just in case), and hand in your signed copies.

Thanks for understanding, and I hope you can still make the new date!

------

OSU students are the next generation of voters and civil servants. Our fight for equality starts with them, so its important that they understand who atheists are: people just like them.

Every last Wednesday of the month, AMEN will be setting up shop in an OSU-adjacent coffee shop with "Ask an Atheist & Get a Free Coffee" signs (will be provided). We will be buying students coffee in exchange for meaningful conversations about being an atheist in America. Anyone who is interested in debunking stereotypes through genuine connection is welcome to join!

NOTE: Those interested in attending should A) RSVP before January 23, 2019 and B) read and sign the "How to 'Ask an Atheist' Guide" outlining standard procedures.
