What we’re about
For active & athletic singles in their 30s, 40s, and 50s looking to have fun while forging new friendships with other active, fit, adventurous, like-minded people. We host activities and adventures of all types: biking, kayaking, hiking, skiing, paddle boarding, river rafting, snowboarding, climbing, running, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, soccer, zip-lining, volunteering, and social nights out on the town, etc. Open to ideas for future outings.
If you're looking to go on adventures or make new friends with other singles, this is the group for you. LGBQT+ friendly.

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
These rules are intended to prevent anonymous stalkers and harassers from plaguing our group. Profiles that do not meet the following requirements will be removed from the group.
Your profile must:
* Use your real first name. (Exceptions can be made for privacy if you have a very uncommon or recognizable first name. Contact an organizer.)
* Last name is optional, but we recommend using the first letter of your last name, especially if you have a common first name. Example: John D
* Use a recognizable head shot. (Again, exceptions can be made for special stalking circumstances. Contact an organizer.)
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
* If your profile has been inactive for more than six months, you will be removed from the group. This is to protect your privacy. You are welcome to rejoin the group at any time.
* No-showing to events takes up a spot someone could have used. It's not cool. Life happens to everybody, but just please give everyone the courtesy of changing your RSVP. If you regularly no-show to events, you will be asked to change your ways. Repeat offenders may be removed from the group. Extreme offenders may be blocked.
BEHAVIOR REQUIREMENTS
* Anybody who posts anything inappropriate or offensive on Meetup or Facebook will be removed and/or blocked from both platforms.
* Anybody who behaves in a threatening or inappropriate manner towards any other member, either during an event or outside of an event, will also be removed and/or blocked from both platforms.

See all- Adirondack Balloon Festival - celebrating 52nd Anniversary!Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport, Queensbury, NY
Folks I have great news, the Adirondack Balloon Festival and tentative Pearl Palooza are on different dates this year, therefore we don't have to choose!
The nationally - known event, the Adirondack Balloon Festival, is back this September 18-21st for its 52nd anniversary celebration!
The festival is a not-for-profit organization, which is very rare for an event of its size and stature. Funding for the event is raised by volunteers and the event would not be possible without the tremendous community support. For what will now be its 52nd year in 2025, the event remains open to the public, free of charge.
Today the event draws upwards of 100,000 people over 4 days. It has been named one of the Top 100 events in North America and have received accolades from the Weather Channel, Food Network and media coverage including numerous Associated Press articles as well as New York Times, Amtrak and Southwest Airlines.

Food vendors, Zonta craft fair, exhibitors, kids activities and more. The schedule of events including music performances will be announced soon. I will update.Admission to the event is and always has been free. General parking is plentiful and free as well. However this events draws thousands of people so traffic backups will occur.. Please plan accordingly, especially during peak times of 3pm – 8pm. Car pooling is encouraged, since many of us will be arriving from the Capital District.
Let hope for crisp soon-to-be autumn air and sunsets that should make for an unforgettable experience!
Admittedly this will be my second ADK Balloon Festival, excited!
There will be options for hot air balloon rides, but they're probably going to be expensive...probably due to inflation😂 I couldn't resist that one!Optional
After the balloon festival concludes, we could congregate at Mean Max Brew Works in Glens Falls for a bit of socializing over food, drinks and friendly but competitive games of darts. The owners brew decent beer and also have some other brewers' offerings on tap and mixed drinks. There is no kitchen but you can bring food in from elsewhere and there are plenty of options of takeouts in vicinity.Hope you can make it and looking forward to seeing you there for a memorable time!
