We are a group of individuals who are interested in learning how to use Stoic Philosophy to not only manage but excel against difficulties that we all invariably face in the modern world.
This group was started to meet and learn from other people who are studying the brilliant, insightful ideas of Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, Epictetus, and other philosophers.
While our foundation is Stoic, we are open to discussions from various philosophical perspectives, including Aristotelianism, Buddhism, Existentialism, and other traditions of practical philosophy. We value open, good-faith debate across schools of thought.
Our gatherings are run by the New Zealand Stoic Society Incorporated a registered non-profit based in Auckland. Membership of the Society is what keeps these meetups running. Members fund our venues and events.
If you find value in what we do here, please consider becoming a member. You can learn more and join at www.stoicsociety.nz.
