Find your Unique Inner Rhythm!
This space is for connecting like-minded individuals who are on, or starting, a spiritual journey and looking for tools that empower them. It focuses on a moving meditation, known as Ecstatic (or Meditative) Dance, as well as a variety of other practices that can help nurture a connection of mind-body-spirit leading to healing and enhanced wellness. It’s comprised of in-person and online events, some of which are for a fee and others that are free.
Ecstatic Dance is a transformative practice that is focused on authentic, spontaneous, expressive, meditative movement. It provides a container for people to safely express whatever they’re feeling, and enter a flow state where stagnant energy can be released and our intuitive self becomes known. It is a place to feel, move and heal, so that we can get more in touch with our unique inner rhythm.
About the Host: Paula (she/her) is the founder of Awaken Your Dance LLC and an experienced Ecstatic Dance facilitator, coach, and author. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, as well as certification as a Spiritual Life Coach and Meditation Teacher. Additionally, Paula has deep lived experience in overcoming trauma and building resilience through emotional and spiritual healing. She published non-fiction books about her healing journey as a means of inspiring others to embrace self-healing. Paula’s dream is to share her passion for empowering people to discover their unique inner rhythm and live more authentic lives using a variety of meditative flow tools.

Join us to connect with your innermost self using a moving meditation, known as ecstatic dance, and tap into intuitive wisdom and healing.
Ecstatic dance is an ancient practice used by shaman to enter altered states of consciousness with the intent to bring healing to themselves and others. In modern times it’s become revived as a spiritual practice. Research has recently begun to study the benefits of ancient practices, such as ecstatic dance, shamanic drumming and sound healing, and validating what our ancestors have always known about their healing qualities.
This class will help you explore your unique inner rhythm while moving your body in any manner that feels good, to music that will help you lose yourself to the beat. It’s a great way to feel grounded, embody emotions, and tap into intuitive wisdom and healing. Designed for those who have tried sitting meditation in the past and struggled with it, or those who are looking to compliment their existing meditation routine.
The goal is simple: to relax, tune into whatever you’re feeling, and gently move in any way that feels comfortable to you. This is accomplished through guidance from an experienced facilitator, in a safe space where you can feel at ease with however you want to express yourself.
Class will start with breath work and a gentle stretch to help you get into a deep meditative state, followed by a guided body scan and free-form dance, and end with a closing circle.
Please bring a yoga mat, an eye covering (optional) and a journal (optional).

This is the second free event in the “Sacred Flow Healing Series”, and it offers a safe and nurturing sacred space to explore healing and move stagnant energy in your body. This event provides a Guided Experience for practicing your ritual by grounding into a flow state using a blend of meditation, music, movement, reflection and creativity. It’s based on the premise that intuition is the key to personal healing and growth. It will help you tap into intuitive wisdom and discover your own unique rhythm, as well as engage your body-mind-spirit to manifest change in your life. While this is based on a moving meditation, known as Ecstatic (aka Meditative) Dance, it can be practiced as a stationary meditation as well. A subsequent event will include a moderated Healing Circle (on Monday, September 29th).
Notes:
- Bring something to write with & something to write on (journal, etc.)
- Wear comfortable clothing & bring water to hydrate.
- Prep your space and ambience (low lighting, candles, incense).
- Wear headphones or ear buds to tune into the meditation and music better.
- Sit in a comfortable chair with back support (if possible), preferably with a head rest and the ability to plant your feet on the floor.
- Bare feet is preferred.
- Separate registration will be required for each event. Events are designed to be attended sequentially, but you can also benefit from attending one or two events. Pick and choose based on your interest and availability!

This is the third and final free event in the “Sacred Flow Healing Series”, and it offers a safe and nurturing sacred space to explore healing while connecting in community. This event provides you with an opportunity to give and receive support and share your insights to promote integration in your healing journey. It will begin with a brief guided meditation that incorporates music, gentle movement, reflection and creativity, followed by free-form dialog. You may want to bring a journal to capture and share insights.
Note: All are welcome, in particular those who have experienced trauma in their lives or are caring for someone who has. No need to attend other events before this one.
