What we’re about

The BCS Edinburgh Branch provides a forum for IT professionals located in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

The Branch's primary responsibility is to provide services for members, to promote the mission and objectives of the society to all.

The main activities of the branch are the hosting of a programme of talks and social events, the arrangement of short professional development courses and the provision of support for the continuing professional development of members.

Both members and non-members are welcome to all meetings which are generally free of charge. The branch makes a charge for courses but offers a discount to BCS members.

A committee of volunteers runs the branch who organise the branch's various events.
