What we're about

Study Group is an Open Door, a service freely offered by B.O.T.A. (Builders of the Adytum), for those seekers drawn to the eternal Spiritual Truths found in, The Tarot,The Tree of Life, Qabalah, Astrology, Alchemy, etc. The harmonies preexisting between these signs, symbols, and images, evoke an inner response from each person in the Group. So each individual responds according to his/her own background and therefore each person makes a unique contribution and similarly, receives a unique point of view from others in the Group. It is an active, engaging, and stimulating process of learning along with other seekers of like mind. No preparation is necessary. All you need do is attend. Your interest, your imagination, your intuition, and your inquiring mind, will do the rest.

The B.O.T.A. Study Group meets at 9:30 AM on the 4th Saturday of each month (except in December) in Palo Alto near the intersection of University Ave. and Florence, opposite CVS drugs.

Until the Covid-19 pandemic recedes, and it is considered safe to resume normal activities, Study Group and Pronaos at the Masonic Temple in Palo Alto will remain dormant. We very much look forward to resuming our usual in-person get-togethers.
However, the potential risk to peoples lives is a sobering deterrent that persuades us to err upon the side of caution.
We hope that any bother this inconvenience may cause will be tempered by the age old Qabalistic principle of sacrificing the lesser for the greater good.
As soon as it is deemed safe to do so, we will reopen.

SPECIAL NOTICE - Nov. 26, 2020: Since the numbers of the Covid-19 pandemic have been increasing dramatically as winter begins to set in, we will not be having any of our usual Fall/winter activities, such as Thanksgiving, or the Qabalistic Christmas Ritual. But as soon as we receive notice that we may begin to somewhat relax our vigilance in this difficult time, we will contact everyone with the most current outlook and information at hand. This may be several months ahead, perhaps even into 2021. So we send all of you our best wishes for good health and prosperity.
I know this may appear to be a dark time, but remember that all of us, every night, close our eyes, and drift off into the very darkness so necessary for our bodies to rebuild themselves. And when we awake, the Sun, as always, will be waiting for us to begin another day.
This too shall pass.

Shalom.
