Update: A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness is definitely the frontrunner, so that'll be our October book!

Hi Bad Girls! The October book will be something scary, and we had lots of great suggestions. There's a quick rundown of the books below, then once you've made your choice, vote in the poll. The book with the most votes will be our October pick!

We have 6 choices (so far):

1. The Dead Beat: Lost Souls, Lucky Stiffs, and the Perverse Pleasures of Obituaries by Marilyn Johnson
   Johnson sought out the best obits in the English language and the people who spent their lives writing about the dead. The book is a compelling journey into the cult and culture behind the obituary page and the unusual lives we don't quite appreciate until they're gone. 5. The Butterfly Garden by Dot Hutchison
