Godless Perverts in the March for Our Lives
• What we'll do On March 24, the kids and families of March For Our Lives will take to the streets of Washington DC to demand that their lives and safety become a priority and that we end gun violence and mass shootings in our schools today. There are marches and rallies that day all over the United States: you can march in Washington DC or in your own community. On March 24, the collective voices of the March For Our Lives movement will be heard. Please join Godless Perverts at the San Francisco March for Our Lives! We only get one life — and too many lives are cut short by pointless and preventable gun violence. Gun violence is connected in dozens of ways to feminism, sexual liberation, and social justice: U.S. gun laws and their enforcement are deeply racist, and the victims of gun violence are disproportionately women, people of color, LGBT people, and other marginalized people. The San Francisco rally will be at the Civic Center beginning at 1:00 pm. To rally with Godless Perverts, please join us at Wicked Grounds, any time between 11:15 am and 12:30 pm. We’ll make posters together (we’ll have supplies!), and head to the Civic Center together shortly after 12:30: it’s about a fifteen minute walk. Wicked Grounds is at 289 8th Street in San Francisco, at Folsom, near the Civic Center BART station. We recommend that you wear comfortable shoes and clothing, and bring water and energy bars or other portable food. Hope to see you there! • What to bring • Important to know

What we're about

Public Group

This Meetup is a coalition of most of the Bay Area Freethought groups. We post our various meetings, hoping that people will find groups that suit their outlook. A number of Skeptical meetings are also posted here. We're an "umbrella" for a few locations at once: SF, North, East, and South Bays, and the Peninsula.

Some groups post their meetings as recurring, meaning you will see several meetings listed as upcoming. But most post their meetings a couple of weeks before the event. This can give the appearance that meetings are dominated by the groups with recurring events.
