Braintree: Contextual Commerce Experiences
Presenters: Azita Habibi, Business Development Lead for Braintree Commerce; Rohit Turumella, Product Lead for Braintree Commerce
Businesses are increasingly partnering together to find new distribution channels and develop unique commerce experiences around those. Contextual commerce aims to enable consumers to seamlessly purchase products at the moment of discovery, which often occurs in the context of everyday activities.
Braintree's commerce infrastructure tools power the payments for a diverse set of contextual commerce experiences from Pinterest buyable Pins to ordering an Uber/Lyft on FB Messenger to purchasing Eventbrite tickets directly on Bandsintown, an artist and performance discover platform.
While contextual commerce is still in its nascent phases, behavioral trends and early stats indicate that it will undoubtedly become the way users expect, and desire, to make purchases in the future.
