  • They come from all over the world: the self-exiled Phantom of the Opera who haunts the tunnels beneath Paris; the Tokyo destroying Godzilla; the soul-sucking McCarthy-inspired pods of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. These and the other cinematic stars of creature features are archetypes, as well as unforgettable characters, that have much to teach us about identity, grandiosity, difference, solitude, shame, grief, family dysfunction, and other aspects of being human.

Doug Ronning, Tales of the Crypt screenwriter, shall be conducting this workshop to mesh movie screen monsters and art in a sensory experience. He has employed his unique skills of writing and imagery at events in horror conferences throughout the nation.
