Location visible to members
The Bay Area Sewists first Frocktails in February event will be taking place on Saturday, February 11, 4 pm to 6 pm. Wear a dress (frock) you made and have a cocktail! We'll have a private upstairs space at Tupper & Reed, a lovely bar located in a building designed in 1925. We'll also serve a variety of hors d'oeuvres (crudités, charcuterie, sushi, and cheese platters).
There will be a no-host bar, which means you'll need to pay for your drinks.
You must purchase your ticket via our private Eventbrite page (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/frocktails-in-february-tickets-30658705012) for this event. All members will be emailed the password to access this page. If you'd like to buy a ticket or are a new Bay Area Sewists member, please message the Organizer, Chuleenan (see left column) to ask for the password. Weekly emails will go out to members with the password.
NOTE: Tickets are nonrefundable.
Once you have purchased your ticket, I will add you to the list of RSVPs on the Meetup page. Please let me know what your Meetup name is if it's different from the name you used on Eventbrite.
Cost: $30 per person. The fee covers the cost of the bartender's time and hors d'oerves (cheese & fruit, prosciutto-wrapped dates, buttermilk fried chicken strips). There will be a no-host bar, which means you need to pay for your drinks.

Note to our male members and those who don't typically wear dresses: A dress is not required but the idea is to wear something you made.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
You must be 21 years of age or older because alcohol will be served.
What should I wear?
Wear something you made or something that makes you feel good. You can be as dressy as you want - velvet and lace or silk and satin - or you can wear a nice jacket and pants or a skirt. It's a cocktail affair.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There is street parking and parking garages in the area. It can be hard to find street parking so allow plenty of time to find a spot. Or park in a garage. Here's a website Best Parking that lists various facilities in Berkeley (http://www.bestparking.com/berkeley-parking/).
Tupper & Reed (http://www.tupperandreed.com/) is located a five-minute walk from the Downtown Berkeley BART stop. It's about two-and-a-half blocks south of the BART stop. I highly recommend taking BART - especially if you are coming from San Francisco. The Chinese New Year parade starts at 6 pm.

What's the refund policy?
Tickets are nonrefundable. Unfortunately, we can't offer refunds because we have to meet the costs of holding this event. Thank you for your understanding. If you can't make it, you can sell your ticket by posting to the Facebook page or the Meetup page for this event. You'll need to work out payment between the ticket holder and buyer. Eventbrite makes it very easy to transfer tickets to someone else - just enter the name of the new person and email that person a link to their ticket.
