Dominic Fried-Booth, Director of Product Planning for Barnes & Noble’s Digital Products Group
In this role, Dom is responsible for using consumer, societal, economic, technology and competitive analysis trends to build B&N’s digital product roadmap.
Prior to joining Barnes & Noble in November 2011, Dom served in a number of roles, all of which placed consumer behavior and socio-cultural trends at the heart of the product creation process. From 2004 until 2009, he worked in NOKIA’s Mobile Phones divisions, initially specializing in devices and services for emerging markets before eventually becoming the category manager for NOKIA’s mid-tier cellphones. Working across design, engineering and marketing, he was responsible for developing a consumer needs based product creation process.
Not a UX researcher by the stretch of anyone's imagination, he'll be talking about significant consumer and societal trends he's tracking and how it may impact the work he does with UX teams.
