datavis education at scale with @currankelleher
Details
Join us for a presentation by Curran Kelleher on Data Visualization & Education at Scale with VizHub, an online platform for data visualization and code editing.
Originally developed as a rich alternative to bl.ocks.org & Blockbuilder, this software has evolved during its use as a teaching tool over two years of use in online graduate courses. It's the platform used for creating screencast lecture videos in which visualizations are created using React & D3, as well as the platform in which students do their assignments. Use for education is only the beginning. Plans are in the works for VizHub to support a much wider audience of data visualization practitioners, from novice to professional. Beta testing for VizHub 2.0 (a complete overhaul) is underway presently. Give it a try! ๐ https://beta.vizhub.com/curran
