Hi Everyone…

I’m sending this update to everyone in my meetup groups.

First, I wanted to let everyone know I’m moving May 31 to Lafayette, California.  Will have a whole house near downtown for less than the rent in SF!  My new address is Changemakers Productions, 3527 Mt. Secondly, there is an opportunity for DP/Directors.  I have recently been contacted by a couple of organizational directors who are interested in videos to tell their story in a documentary, and I have a new partner who creates a whole branding campaign for her clients.  As part of this package, she will want to create short videos for clients. I will be involved in working with the client to develop the script and questions for interviews, and possibly do the interviews as well.  I am looking for DPs/Directors who are able to put the production and editing team together and can bid on these projects or adapt whatever they are doing to meet the budget.  I will be getting 10% as an agent/broker.  While I will giving a priority to those I  have previously worked with on various volunteer projects, if you are interested, let me know by sending an email to me at [address removed], and include a link to your work and phone number, along with other contact information.

Third, my film The Suicide Party: Project O is now going into production in Las Vegas July 13-26 with a top team of actors and crew. It’s a timely and entertaining dark comedy using the popular found footage approach about a guy about to lose his house and everything he holds dear, so in desperation he decides to throw a suicide party with the help of friends.  If he raises enough he’ll live; if not he’ll end it all, which starts a media firestorm and has unexpected twists and consequences. The film is designed to contribute to the all-important conversation about inequality and what to do to fix society. Though a low budget film, the director Jack Skyyler, has brought in lead actors with over 30 feature film credits among them.  While we have raised $25,000 for production, we are still seeking another $10,000-15,000 for editing and promotion.  So we invite you to join our recently launched campaign at or at which has selected the Suicide Party as a staff pick. The film has so far been featured in three film festivals – the Scary Cow Film Festival at the Castro Theater in San Francisco, the Oakland Film Festival, and at the NorCal Film Festival, a global online festival, and is entered in many more.

There are all kinds of perks for your support. There are opportunities to be an Associate or Executive Producer and get IMDB credit, along with a number of exciting perks.  Or join the mailing list for as little as $5 or $10 as a fan or contributor. Perks include parties, red carpet premieres, roles in the film, dinners with the lead actors and director, half-price tickets to upcoming workshops and seminars, and more. There are also opportunities for 3 or 4 investors who will get back 100% plus 20% from the first moneys received and share in the proceeds with the producers, plus get film credits and perks. Fourth, besides monthly Film Exchanges to share feedback on works in progress, we’ll be starting a new workshop series on networking, finding distributors, and selling screenplays. These will be based on viewing webinars by experts in the field and then discussing how to apply these techniques.  An announcement about these events will follow after I move.
