Hi, Uri. If it's of interest, I'd be happy to show a set of methods for building complex interactive badges using nothing but client-side JavaScript. It's currently in use at Yahoo (Pipes and the Buzz badge), Netflix (the JS API badge), and various cracks and crevices, like Programmableweb and the Firefox Download Day mega-widget.

BayJax: Call for talks Hi everyone,

Michael and I wanted to build up a list of interested speakers for this coming BayJax meeting and for future ones. If you have a topic youd like to speak about, for 10-15 minutes, followed by some questions and answers, please let us know, and include a few sentences on what specifically youd be discussing.

Our focus is advanced Ajax-related areas: JavaScript (client- and server-side), HTML and CSS, and interesting new frameworks or techniques or applications. You can assume the audience is technical and knowledgeable and can jump right into the heart of the matter. Code, rather than theoretical abstractions or marketing, is always a big favorite ;-). And ideally the talks become interactive discussions.

Our next meeting will be 7pm on Wednesday, May 6 or Thursday, May 7 at Facebook in Palo Alto, as before. If youre interested in speaking at this one specifically, please indicate so in your reply. Typically for each meeting well have 3-4 speakers. Were also looking to put together a shootout between different approaches to charting, so were especially interested in speakers there.

Thanks, and looking forward to seeing you soon, as a speaker or participant or both.
