This group is for people of ALL skill levels and users of ALL versions of Microsoft Access. We also include SQL server topics in our discussions. This group typically meets monthly at various locations in the San Francisco East Bay. We were previously named the Berkeley Access Database Users Group but have expanded our area of geographical coverage and our area of technical coverage.
Now we are alternating monthly meetings with Excel Users Group (https://www.meetup.com/Excel-Training); with odd numbered months for Databases, and even-numbered months for Excel.
Our next meetup will be at the same place, The Port Workspaces Kaiser Center at[masked]th St. in Oakland (the cross street is Webster St.). The main entrance glass doors are just to the right of the CVS at the corner for 20th and Webster. We will have a volunteer there to let you in. Usually we meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
We invite you to bring a database example to share with us, whether it's a problem that you'd like us to all try to solve together, or a clever programming technique that you'd like to show us. If you bring your laptop, you can plug into the projector and use WiFi if needed. If we have time left over, we'll also spend some time keeping each other up to date on the latest trends and technologies in the Access world.
Paid garage parking as well as free street parking (after 6pm) are both available. You may also walk to the office from the 19th Street BART.
We will ask for an optional $1-$2 donation to cover Meetup website costs.
We're looking forward to seeing you there!
PS - Let me know if you'd like to be a "door person" (that is, let people in from 5:45 - 6:15) in exchange for 1 hour of free Access consultation.
PPS - Please see the bulletin board for notes from our most recent meetup.
