BeyondCorpSF Meetup during Google Next

Details
Join ScaleFT and the BeyondCorp community during Google Next for some networking and talks around the future of security architectures. The good folks at Heavybit have opened up the space for the event, and we have a solid agenda taking shape with speakers from Stripe, Pagerduty and ScaleFT.
We'll have plenty of pizza, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks. Doors open at 6:00 and close at 8:30. See you there!

Where:
Heavybit Industries
325 9th St (at Folsom)
San Francisco

Agenda:
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM - Networking and Welcome
7:00 PM - 7:30 PM - Evan Gilman and Doug Barth - Zero Trust Networks: Building Trusted Systems in Untrusted Networks
Zero Trust is a new security model, one which considers all parts of the network to be equally untrusted. Taking this stance dramatically changes the way we implement security systems. In this talk, we'll go over the Zero Trust model itself, why it is so important, what a Zero Trust network looks like, and what components are required in order to actually meet the challenge.
Evan Gilman is an SRE at PagerDuty, and Doug Barth is an SRE at Stripe
7:30 PM - 8:00 PM - Ivan Dwyer - How Zero Trust Changes Access Management
Google changed the way employees access internal applications through their BeyondCorp initiative, removing the use of traditional perimeter-based security measures such as the VPN. A by-product of this Zero Trust model is that the lines are blurring between identity and privileged access management towards more consistent methods. This talk will cover how a new class of Cloud Native solutions are emerging to better manage access to protected resources.
Ivan Dwyer is the Director of Product Marketing at ScaleFT
8:00 PM - 8:30 PM - Networking and Close
