What we're about

This Meetup group is open to anyone interested in knowing more about the Bible. I am the Pastor of New Church of Phoenix, in Scottsdale, and our church is about the Internal sense of the Word. So when you come to our Bible Deeper Study group you will go home with many new truths that will answer your questions about the Word of God.
If you have questions or any confusion about certain parts of the Bible, then this is the group you are looking for. Come and go home rich with some spiritual food!
We will study the Books of the Word.

Continue reading and discussing Matthew 19 with us

Online event

Marriage and Divorce are at the center of Matthew 19.
Do you remember the story about the Young Rich Man? Are you in any way like the young rich man in Matthew 19?
Also, in this chapter, we will see that with God All things are possible.
Come talk about this and more!

Dear Bible Lovers,
We are going to explore Matthew 19. This chapter teaches us the way of heaven. If you feel lost, join us for more edification. If you have hard time forgiving others their offense against you, come and let's listen to what the Lord has to say. Come and share!

So join us this Wednesday, for another great discussion.
Come study the Bible with us.

In our church (the New Church of Phoenix), we believe that the Word of God has a deeper meaning, that there is a spiritual meaning to the sense of the letter of the Word. The Word of God is full of correspondences (codes), representations, and significatives which, like a parable, you need to decode to understand. During our Bible studies, we read the Word of God and see how it applies to life. We also explain the deeper meaning of the Word in light of the Writings (revelations) for the New Church, written by the Lord's servant, Emanuel Swedenborg.

If you feel confused by the Bible and are interested in learning more about the deeper meaning of the Word, you'll love our Bible study group. And if you believe everything in the Word literally as it is written in the pages of the Bible, then maybe you'll give us a chance to surprise you.

We meet Wednesdays, on Zoom, at 6:30pm MST (Phoenix Time).

You will receive the link for this online meetup once you RSVP. Or, go to the New Church of Phoenix website for details about how to join the Zoom meeting: https://newchurchphoenix.org/getting-involved/overview/

Come learn more about the Gospel of Matthew, share your thoughts, ask your questions, and see what we have to share!

"... when the first came, they supposed that they would receive more; and they likewise received each a denarius. And when they had received it, they complained against the landowner, saying, ‘These last men have worked only one hour, and you made them equal to us who have borne the burden and the heat of the day.’ But he answered one of them and said, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius? Take what is yours and go your way. I wish to give to this last man the same as to you. Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with my own things? Or is your eye evil because I am good?’ So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen.”

Dear Bible Lovers,
We are going to continue exploring the Gospel of Matthew, again this Wednesday. The Lord will, in this chapter, teach us the way of heaven. If you feel lost, join us for more edification. If you need to boost up your faith in God, come and let us listen to what the Lord has to say. Come and share!
