Bike Me DC! Williamsburg Weekend - Colonial Parkway (Yorktown)

This first ride of the Bike Me DC! Williamsburg Weekend will take us along historic Colonial Parkway from downtown Williamsburg along the western shore of the York River to and through Yorktown Battlefield Colonial National Park and the town of Yorktown and then back to Williamsburg.

Important Notes:

A) Event details, including start time, start location, ride length, etc., are subject to change.

B) Each member is responsible for brining their own cue sheet. Use the link provided above to either download the route cue sheet and load it into your Smartphone or GPS device, or print a paper copy to take with them, or both!

C) This is a "no-drop" ride, meaning no one will be left behind and ride leaders will provide their cell phone numbers in case assistance is required. To better accommodate the varied ride paces within our membership, an effort will be made to group riders according to pace.

D) Covid-19 Awareness - Hopefully, most of us will have been able to receive our vaccinations by the the time of this event, but having a vaccine is not a requirement for participation. Vaccines or not, we will still practice all legal and common sense pandemic precautions such as wearing masks when indoors, social distancing, washing hands, etc. Wearing masks while riding is optional, but should maintain greater a distance than normal between cyclists. In other words, no drafting!

E) Lunch! There are several places in Yorktown where we can grab a bite of lunch before our return ride back to Williamsburg. Depending on what Covid-19 restrictions are in place at the time, we might have to split ourselves among more than one establishment. Some options are listed below.
