Synthetic Biology, Biohacking and Vegan Cheese - iGEM team meeting

Details
BioCurious and our sister lab Counter Culture Labs (http://www.counterculturelabs.org/) in Oakland are putting together a team for iGEM (http://igem.org/Main_Page) - the 10th international Genetically Engineered Machine competition. iGEM has been the premier breeding ground for synthetic biologists, and this is the first year they will also be accepting Community / DIYbio labs.
The topic we've chosen for our project is Vegan Cheese, expressing casein proteins in yeast - check out our wiki (https://wiki.counterculturelabs.org/index.php/Vegan_cheese)!
Feel free to come check us out, whether you are already part of the iGEM team or not. We're hoping to actually get work done in these meetings, so we will likely not give an extensive introduction to any newbies, but you're more than welcome to sit in and absorb some biohacking-in-action. This is your opportunity to join a working iGEM team.
For now, we will be meeting every first Monday of the month at BioCurious, and the other Mondays in Oakland.
$10 donation suggested.
