A place for AI and Machine Learning boffins and get together and discuss how we're using Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, AI Planning, Clustering, Reinforcement Learning etc to change the way our companies do business, invent new products, enhance existing ones or just make things work better.

Ekip Kalir
Ekip is a Full Stack Engineer at Accenture UK & Ireland with hands-on experience across the full software stack — iOS and Android, cloud microservices, and React front-ends — as well as a modern web development. A speaker at TechMids and Birmingham Tech Week, he most recently presented on Generative AI in full-stack environments at Accenture's Birmingham Tech Day 2025. Outside client work, he experiments with AI-assisted development workflows on his own projects.

Throughout her career, she has witnessed firsthand the transformative power of artificial intelligence (AI) when harnessed responsibly. Her mission is to bridge the gap between AI technology and organisational readiness, ensuring businesses of all sizes can seize the opportunities and leverage AI effectively.
Through tailored AI literacy programs and as an EU AI Act compliance strategist, she aims to equip teams with the critical thinking and technical proficiency necessary to navigate the regulatory complexities of AI confidently.

Claude Code is more than an AI code assistant — it's an agentic dev partner that lives in your terminal, understands your entire codebase, and can plan, edit, and commit changes across multiple files on your behalf. In this live demo session, Ekip will show you what that looks like in practice on a real personal Next.js repo, running Claude Code directly from the terminal alongside VSCode.
You'll see how a CLAUDE.md file gives Claude persistent memory of your project's conventions and architecture decisions, how custom Skills package repeatable workflows into simple slash commands, and how Cowork brings the same agentic engine to the Claude desktop app for tasks that don't need a terminal at all. By the end, you'll have a clear mental model of where Claude Code fits into a real development workflow — and a concrete starting point for trying it in your own projects that same evening.Online streaming - none
