Phil has been gracious enough to open his home again for a Bistro Buddies potluck in New Braunfels. As we know from our recent potluck there, it is perfect for a potluck! Nice and open, plenty of seating, super large counter dividing the kitchen and den. It has a screened in porch, extra large wooden deck with built-in seating. The house can handle a very large group of us...come rain or shine! Bring your favorite potluck dish and a drink. Come join us! It will great fun with friends, food and fun!

We love Sea Island. Their shrimp is wonderful of course, but their house fish is an Icelandic Pollock. It is mild with a wonderful texture! Let's go again! From their site: No other seafood restaurant offers a dining experience as unique as Sea Island’s! Fresh, high quality seafood made from scratch, a welcoming family environment, and fast and convenient service make Sea Island a local favorite. The first Sea Island opened its doors in 1965. Today, we continue our legacy of quality, convenience, and service at an affordable price. We believe that families shouldn’t have to sacrifice quality over price when eating out. Our mission is to be the best local seafood restaurant by always bringing you the most delicious dishes and the most comfortable environment – so you can just sit back and enjoy!
For those that didn't get any (or enough) BBQ on the 4th of July, this will be your chance catch up! From their site: The County Line was formed by some Texans who loved Austin; loved its heritage and historical buildings; loved BBQ; and were committed to running a restaurant based on four principles: First: offer the highest quality smoked barbecue – ribs, brisket, sausage and chicken – with traditional sides of coleslaw, potato salad and beans. Second: provide these BBQ specialties in generous portions at reasonable prices. Next: offer friendly table service with linens and bar service. Finally: feature an authentic location that celebrates the heritage of Texas. In 1975 they put all these principles into effect at The County Line’s original location in an old speakeasy now known throughout Austin as The County Line on the Hill…and the rest as they say is history. With locations all over the South-west the County Line continues to serve up award winning barbeque in a relaxed setting, that’s so good you'll want to "Get It All Over Ya!".
