Career Conversations is a panel-style event featuring speakers with experience facilitating job seeker success who provide insight into paths that new web developers can take to find jobs in their industry.

Food & Beverages will be provided. BEER (21+) is courtesy of Rails End Beer Co (http://www.railsendbeerco.com/).

Format:

Panelists will answer questions from a moderator and from the audience with up to 5 minutes of time per speaker per question. The goal is to have fluid conversations between the audience and panelists, easing the stress or stigma of networking with industry professionals.

Learning Objectives:

• Participants learn best practices in preparing for their job search in Web Development.

• Participants meet and network with each other and panelists to build support around their job search.

Agenda:

6:00pm: Guests arrive and get seated; Announcements are made (6:15pm - 6:30pm)

6:30pm - 7:30pm: Session 1 - Panel answers questions regarding employment in web development

7:30pm - 7:45pm: Open Networking and Break

7:45pm - 8:45pm: Session 2 - Panel answers all other questions, not limited to employment

8:45pm - 9:00pm: Open Networking and Dismissal
