Welcome to New England's largest LGBTQ+ meetup! The "Non-Scene" Gay Friends of Greater Boston is a place for the LGBTQ+ community to hang out, make friends, explore the city, and have fun doing a wide variety of activities typically separate from the gay bar "scene." We'd love for you to join the group and introduce yourself! We welcome people of all ages(18+), genders, and sexual orientations. Transgender people are welcome!

We have both online and in-person meetups post-pandemic.

Online socials include Speed-dating, Speed friending, Queeraoke and Game Nights.

Past in person meetups included:

If there is an event you'd like to see, talk to an organizer to try in make it happen! Even better, join the group as an event host.

If you'd like to pitch in to keep the group going you can do so using the link below. Contributors get a special "Non-Scene Sustainer " label on their meetup profile.

RSVP Policy:
Please keep your RSVPs current. People who fail to keep their RSVPs current twice, and a majority of the time may moved to the waitlist for certain events if there are space constraints.

Conduct Policy:
Be good! Members are expected to contribute to the positive energy of the group and strive to promote a drama free environment. Be kind and courteous to others and respect people’s differences. We support members who need shoulder to lean on or vent in times of distress, however members who systematically disrupt or negatively impact the social well-being of the group will be asked to correct their behavior, or if necessary be asked to leave the group. Gossip or bad mouthing of other members, when intended to harm their reputation, is not acceptable behavior. This Meetup has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment of any kind. If you have any concerns, please report them to Organizer Max, and he will work to take appropriate action. Solicitation Policy:

This group has a no solicitation policy.

Discussion Board Policy:

If you have not been to an event in the past 12 months your post will be deleted.
You can comment responding to a post regardless of whether or not you attended an event as long as the response is germane to the original post.
