Ukulele Pick & Pluck Workshop in Historic Lower Mills

Details

• What we'll do

Note change to Saturday 5th Jan 1 to 2:30 pm.

This is the first in a series of workshops on PICK & PLUCK to prepare you to join a ukulele orchestra and/or get more out of your ukulele besides strumming and singing. Picking the individual strings gives a completely different feel from strumming as accompaniment.

To play the riffs that often define a song, you will need to know how to pick and pluck and how to read tabs and notations.

This particular workshop focusses on using your strumming hand to pick the four strings of the ukulele.

Please RSVP and pay event host $30 via Venmo @analyticalq or Zelle or Paypal ($35) to receive material for the workshop by e-mail. Doors open at 12:45 pm so you can get tuned up.

The session will be video recorded for playback for private viewing by participants only.

NOTE: Future sessions will be scheduled with the participants of this first class.

Unique opportunity to play music in what was the oldest chocolate factory in America. The Walter Baker Building is home to working artists. The Common Room contains a temporary exhibit launched from the annual Holiday Stroll.
