Details

DATE STILL TO BE DETERMINED. KEEP TUNED!!!!!!!!!!!! THE DATE ABOVE IS A PLACEHOLDER. IT WILL HAPPEN. WE WILL ALERT EVERYONE ON THE LIST WHEN WE COORDINATE DATE AND VENUE.

In our continuing series of BRINGING THE BEST TO BOSTON, we welcome Chris Hough, known throughout Europe as Ukulele Uff, this September for his remarkable, one-of-a-kind Master Class and private concert.

Chris is among Europe's most talented performers and instructors, teaching the strumming and finger styles of the great ukulele masters of the 1920's, including Roy Smeck, George Formby, and Jess Kalima, as well as sharing unique strums that have made Chris one of Europe's favorite performers.

The workshop breaks down complex syncopated strums (including split stroke, fan stroke, scrape, tremolos, triplets) step-by-step. You'll learn techniques that allow you to play melody lines while keeping a rhythm going and get a good feel for when and where to use them. Although these techniques are centered around traditional style, they are versatile and sound equally impressive with both vintage and today's music.

If you want to play uke better than ever thought possible, you have no choice but to attend!
