Ukulele Jam in Historic Lower Mills: 12 bar blues
Details
• What we'll do
The theme for today is twelve bar blues --- which is made up of three chords. Be sure to download the 22-page songbook of 15 songs we'll be doing: http://www.anneku.com/songbooks/blues_songbook.pdf
We are a new group that meets every Wednesday evening at 7 pm for a thematic jam session. The songbooks (PDFs) are ready for download the week before on http://www.anneku.com/ukulele/ and this one is the 7th theme. We welcome all levels as we always start with few and easy chords to warm-up and then have a break.
The jam sessions are entirely free. However, you are most welcome to contribute drinks (beer for this session), snacks, and even $ to support tis new initiative and make it a regular happening.
This is a unique opportunity to play music in the former administrative building of the oldest chocolate factory in America. Walter Baker Artist Lofts has a permanent exhibit by the artists in residence. The common room (with a temporary exhibit) with high ceilings and plenty of natural light is located on the right-hand side of the front entrance.
Free street parking if you can find any or at the parking lots of Star Market behind the building and CVS across from Lower Mills branch of Boston Public Library further away.
