About the topic: Datomic Basics

This talk will introduce Datomic's data model and run through what a Datomic deployment looks like. We'll dig into schema, transactions, and queries and what use cases Datomic is best suited to. Time will be saved at the end for q&a and advanced topics.

About the speaker:Ben Kamphaus - Think Topic Software Engineer
Ben has a background in GIS, quantitative social science, remote sensing, and traditional scientific programming. His expertise also includes machine learning, image processing, and databases. Currently, Ben is focused on scalable and sound software architecture for machine learning systems and tackling image processing tasks with convolutional neural networks. Prior to joining ThinkTopic, Ben was with the Datomic Team at Cognitect for two years.
He holds a B.A. in anthropology from the University of Oklahoma, along with a M.S. and Ph.D. in geography from SUNY Buffalo.
