Embedded Talks: Board-Level Design to Market

Details

Learn about getting your board-level product to market from Sparkfun's Pearce Melcher!

We'll look at the process of bringing a development/hobby board through ideation, manufacturing, to sales channels and what to expect along the way. We'll cover new and existing trends like crowdfunding and technology, and resources to use. Most of the topics apply in areas like consumer electronics as well.

Afterward, there will be plenty of for questions, as well as a chance to share what you're working on, ask questions, and chat with other hardware professionals and enthusiasts.

About Pearce:

"I've worked for a local electronics manufacturer and online retailer, SparkFun Electronics, for the past 10 years. During my time at SparkFun, I've touched many areas of product development including manufacturing, design, and ideation. For the majority of my time at SparkFun my position has included discovering new product and technologies and evaluating which make sense for our catalog. In doing so, I've seen a lot of different product pitches and a lot of different paths to success in the maker/hobbyist/prototyping market. So I've gained a good grasp on what to expect in setting out and what the best practices that lead to success are."
